Congratulations to all our KS2 pupils who did themselves and our school proud at the North East KS2 Choir of The Year 2019, held at Durham Cathedral. After a very early start to their school day, the children climbed all the way up to Palace Green to take in this awesome World Heritage Site. For many, this was a first visit and one that we hope will be remembered forever. They sang beautifully and were complimented on their outstanding behaviour, especially as they listened attentively and enjoyed all the performances of other schools from across the whole of the north east. As one of only two Northumberland Schools entered, we loved every minute of our morning together, included the amazing massed singing. We also all agreed with Honey in Y6, who summed up perfectly that we were ‘in it to sing it!” Thank you to all parents/carers who ensured that children were turned out so smartly for this special occasion and to Chorister School pianist Julia Kennard for her wonderful accompaniment.
