Y8 pupils had an excellent day at Durham University, learning about the collegiate system and spending time on the Science Campus as they started their Digital Physics programme. Pupils particularly enjoyed their time in the Vis Lab, meeting robots and learning about different research projects and career pathways within Computer Science. All pupils impressed staff with the way in which they engaged during the real lecture experience, which introduced children to the concept of Ethical Computer Programming through Moral Machines dilemmas. We are very grateful to the Principal of St Chad's College, Eleni from Computer Science, and look forward to meeting our postgraduate mentors for our serious game design project next term.
