Our personal, relevant, PSHE curriculum aims to help our young people grow and develop as kind, resilient individuals, as well as being respectful members of families and of social and economic communities.  Our ‘spiral’ curriculum approach builds on learning year upon year, and through our teaching, we aim to support self-regulation, self-awareness and stress management.

At Bellingham Middle School, we believe that social and interpersonal skills are vital, and that emotional literacy and positive mental health are key to young people thriving in school and later on in their own lives. Therefore, woven throughout our PSHE curriculum is a strong focus on developing these personal attributes in a structured, age-appropriate and developmental way.
