This week, we were lucky enough to welcome back visiting artist, Kev F. Sutherland, Scottish comedian and comic strip creator who has drawn for a variety of publications, including The Beano. Y5 and Y7 greatly enjoyed a comic art masterclass each, with every pupil contributing a comic strip to a class comic and having the chance to have a caricature portrait done by Kev each as a memento. Older students also learned about political satire and journalistic bias. We would like to extend our thanks to Hexham Book Festival for this excellent creative opportunity.
