A successful Careers’ Week 2019 for all pupils concluded on Friday with a fantastic carousel of employer sessions, including: forestry, paramedic, engineer, radiographer, vicar and Northumbrian Water. We also had an excellent visit from the army on Thursday afternoon. The pupils have impressed everyone with their outstanding behaviour in a week where we have stressed the importance of making a good first impression. Y8 pupils have also had a 1:1 bespoke interview experience with a professional careers advisor, for which a report home to parents will follow. Pupil feedback to our Careers’ Week has been extremely positive. Please see our Careers Week Gallery for pictures, including of the amazing Duck Production (manufacturing simulation) from the beginning of the week. We would like to thank all our guest employers who have given generously of their time this week to support our pupils, and look forward to welcoming other local people from the world of work into school in the near future, starting with a Chef experience on Friday 21st.
