We have high expectations for the standard of uniform from September and will expect all children to look smart and tidy and take pride in their appearance.
We have a practical, smart and comfortable uniform comprising:
Red round necked sweatshirt with school logo
White polo shirt
Black school skirt or black trousers (not leggings, denim, skinny or tight fitting styles)
Black shoes (not canvas or trainer types – must be polishable)
Black or white socks or black tights
Small stud earrings may be worn - but must be removed for PE
Pupils are not permitted to wear make-up of any kind including nail varnish. Any make-up will be removed. We would appreciate your support with this.
Children are only allowed to ear a single set of plain stud earrings and a watch, earrings must be removed for PE.
Hairstyles must be sensible and suitable for school and learning and long hair must be tied back.
All items should be clearly marked inside with the students’ name so they can be returned to the rightful owner in the event of loss. Any lost property not claimed or not clearly marked will be discarded or donated to the local charity shop at the end of each term.

Role of Parents and Governors
We ask all parents who send their children to our school to support the school uniform policy. We believe that parents have a duty to send their children to school correctly dressed and ready for their daily school work. One of the responsibilities of parents is to ensure that their child has the correct uniform, and that it is clean and in good repair.
If any parent would like the school to modify the uniform policy, they should make representation, in the first instance, to the Head Teacher. The school welcomes children from all backgrounds and faith communities. If there are serious reasons, for example religious objections, why parents want their child to wear clothes that differ from the school uniform, the school will look sympathetically at such requests. Similarly, should an item of school uniform prove problematic for a child with disabilities then parents are invited to draw this to the attention of the Head Teacher. The school will not treat children with disabilities unfavourably.
The Governors support the Head Teacher in implementing the school uniform policy. It considers all representations from parents regarding this policy and liaises with the Head Teacher to ensure that the policy is implemented fairly and with sensitivity.
It is the governors’ responsibility to ensure that the school uniform meets all national regulations concerning equal opportunities, and that our school uniform policy is consistent with our policy on equal opportunities. Governors ensure that the school uniform policy helps children to dress sensibly, in clothing that is hard wearing, safe and practical.
Please do not buy your child tight or jeans style trousers as these are not acceptable school uniform (even if they are from the school uniform section of a shop). Skirts should not be above the knee and shows should be smart and plain black (not trainers, no heels and no obvious logos/branding) Please ensure that your child has a suitable black belt to use if their trousers or skirt are loose. Socks should be plain black or white.
