Year 6 RE visit to St Cuthbert's

News

30th June 2015

Year six are currently exploring local saints as part of the RE component of Topic.  Today we visited St Cuthbert's Well and St Cuthbert's Church.  Rector Susan was particularly helpful - providing the children with a wealth of knowledge about St Cuthbert's life and his involvement with the local area.

The children heard numerous stories about the saint and were given the opportunity to look around the church and drink from the well (which is claimed to have healing powers and has never dried out).
