'Time for Reflection' workshops

News

21st September 2017

On Thursday and Friday, Rector Susan and volunteers from the community, including the Methodist Church, came to school to deliver special 'Time for Reflection' prayer spaces for our school.  The approach is universal and asks the children to reflect on issues affecting them and others as well as offering them quiet time just to think and not be bothered.

Children came in small classes or groups and were able to spend some time thinking about the Big Questions in life, forgiveness, self-worth, friendship and what inspires them.  For our older children, there were also areas relating to more global issues such as homelessness and hunger.

Our children were very respectful and reflective and hopefully found their time thought-provoking and refreshing.   We are very grateful for Rector Susan for organising this time and hope to do it again in the future.
