Ethos and Values

Welcome to Bellingham Middle!  I am very proud to be the Head Teacher of this wonderful school, focused on providing a very broad, exciting curriculum for pupils from the ages of 9 to 13.  Being smaller than the average middle school, our class sizes ensure that we know each and every one of our pupils and families exceptionally well.  I hope that whether you are a new visitor, or already know something about our school, you will find our website informative and useful.

At Bellingham Middle, our school values of kindness, resilience and respect underpin all that we do.  We aim to provide opportunity for everyone and enable success for all within a happy, safe environment.  Our high standards ensure that we seek to develop academic excellence, as well as being fully committed in supporting the personal and physical development of all our pupils.  Wellbeing is at the heart of everything we do. We believe that all pupils in our school should feel safe, be valued and supported, yet secure enough to face challenges with confidence.  We strive to provide a happy learning environment where all children feel able to pursue their interests, develop a strong sense of community and are inspired to learn to the best of their ability.

We are proud of our guiding principles as they reflect who we are and what we do at Bellingham Middle School:

  • We welcome challenges.
  • We respect others and work together.
  • We take responsibility for, and learn from, our actions.
  • We take pride in our work, our school and our community.
  • We celebrate our achievements and the achievements of others.
  • We care for our environment.

I would be delighted to show you around our warm, welcoming school at any time so do come and see us in action!  Please contact the school office to make an appointment.
