Easter in school

News

24th March 2016

As we reach the end of another busy half term we have chosen a number of ways to celebrate Easter in school today.

Firstly, thank you to everyone who has brought in a 'famous' egg - there were lots of inventive and creative entries!  The whole school is also going to St Cuthbert's to take part in a singing Easter service.  Some of our pupils are also delivering readings to tell the story of Easter.  Thank you to our music teachers for getting our pupils prepared to make a joyful sound and thank you to our pupils for taking part so well.

This afternoon we are hoping parents/carers and other family members will join us in school for an Easter Afternoon Tea in the community room.  Pupils will be invited up on a rota to take part so that you can time your visit to coincide with theirs.  If you have misplaced the letter the timings are:  Year 5 1.30 - 1.45;  year 6  1.45 - 2.00; 7A 2.00 - 2.15; 7R 2.15 - 2.30 and year 8 2.30 - 2.45.  These timings are flexible and may stretch a little over the afternoon to ensure that everyone who wants a piece of cake can get one!

We would also like to take the opportunity to wish everyone a happy Easter holiday.
